Statement by the 6th defendant regarding the freedom of assembly
21. July 2010The following statement was made by one of the defendants during the trial on July 21st, 2010:
The topic of this day at court (which included the interrogation of two witnesses of the respective police agencies responsible for assemblies from Vienna and Graz in Austria) was – once more – demonstrations and assemblies. The topic of assemblies, especially protests in front of Kleider Bauer and Hämmerle stores, was also already dicussed during the interrogation of other witnesses during the course of this trial.
Notably, at none of the assemblies discussed at this trial any criminal act was ever committed. Read the rest of this entry »
